hi guys,
i am the newbie here. there is one question who's answer i have not got yet in many forums which are:
1.where can i find a list of all the equipment used to set up GSM network?
2.where can i find GSM equipment suppliers?
3.which are the best equipment, what are the best technology by now in GSM?

any help will be highly appreciated.

I doubt that there is any place where you can find a 'list' like that. but The main components are
1) MSC , Mobile Switching Center
2) BSC , Base Station controller
3) BTS , The Cell Site
4) RXCDR , Transcoder
5) IN , Prepaid platform
6) SGSN & GGSN , GPRS Nodes
7 ) SMSC
8 ) various other VAS nodes lilke Voicemail, RBT Servers etc




2.where can i find GSM equipment suppliers?

All the top telecom vendors like Ericsson, NSN, ALU, Motorola , Huawei are GSM suppliers



3.which are the best equipment, what are the best technology by now in GSM?

No one is best, every equipment has its pros and cons. Decision to opt for a vendor is taken at the highest of operating compaines and usually there are many factors involved.
