Post Number of SS7 links in a linkset
Can anybody please tell why do we have only 16 links in a linkset?? Why can not we configure more than 16 links??

You can find the answer in MTP3 specifications. Link number in linkset is called Signaling Link Selector (SLS). It's a part of "Routing label" field in MTP3 message.
Only 4 bits are allocated for SLS value, so that's why it has numbers from 0 to 15 only.
